Choose certification appropriate for your methodology

In choosing the project management certification, choosing the methodology itself is very important. You choose the one which is the best for your type of work but you also choose the organization which issues the certifications.

You get the certification but you need to develop your skills all the time, so you need to have the opportunity given by the organization. For me the PMI gives a lot of these opportunities. This is a very well built structure for developing and sharing skills and experience.
